Create Your First Level

Open:

Tools > Pixit Games > Turn Based Engine > Create New Tactical Level

Grid settings

Setting Description
Width / Depth Number of cells on the X and Z axes
Cell Size World-space width of one tactical cell
Level Count Number of vertical tactical levels
Level Height Y distance between consecutive levels

Level 0 is placed at the grid origin. Level 1 is placed at Level Height, and so on.

The level creator generates the tactical services, camera, lighting, HUD, map roots, player spawn root, alien spawn root, and objective placeholder.

Next steps

  1. Open the Map Builder.
  2. Assign or create a Tactical Map Palette.
  3. Fill Level 0 with a Ground entry.
  4. Place cover, buildings, upper floors, and stairs.
  5. Paint gameplay tile rules.
  6. Create or assign a Tactical Map Data asset.
  7. Bake and resolve every validation warning.

Changing Level Height

If Map Data is assigned, its baked value overrides the scene grid. Click Use Scene Physics, change Level Height, then bake the map again.
